Nitin K. Yerram, MD

Dr. Yerram’s clinical expertises includes treatment of cancers of the prostate, kidney, and bladder. Dr. Yerram is an expert at minimally-invasive surgery, specifically using the DaVinci robotic surgical platform for robotic prostatectomy (prostate removal), robotic partial nephrectomy, and robotic cystectomy (bladder removal) with urinary diversion. In addition, he specializes in focal therapy for treatment of prostate cancer and offers eligible patients bladder-sparing treatment options for treatment of invasive bladder cancer. 

Dr. Yerram is a prolific researcher in urologic oncology and has authored numerous publications and presented at national conferences including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Conference. As Director of Urologic Research, he offers patients state-of-the-art treatments and technology as part of the Hackensack Meridian clinical trial network. Dr. Yerram customizes the care plan for each patient, using high resolution imaging, genomic testing, and evidence-based research to offer the best treatment option. Dr. Yerram has access to the newest technology and therapies available and offers patients a full range of cancer care support services.

Dr. Yerram received his medical degree from Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He performed his internship in general surgery and urology residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He received his fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
