Julie Huang, DO

Julie Huang, DO, is a hematologist/oncologist at Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center who specializes in the care of people with solid tumors as well as blood cancers like chronic lymphocytic leukemia and lymphoma and benign blood disorders.

The first doctor in her family, Dr. Huang watched family members handle diseases such as Alzheimer's and pediatric leukemia, which motivated her to pursue a career in medicine. As an Asian American raised in a Cuban household in Harlem, she is aware of cultural differences in approaches to serious illness.

Dr. Huang went to medical school at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathy degree. She completed her residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at NYU Langone Hospital‒Long Island.

As a physician, Dr. Huang is honored to be her patients' advocate at an especially vulnerable time in their lives. She is excited about contributing to the cancer care program at Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center and supporting her patients' physical and emotional health and well-being. She hopes to become a mentor for trainees and to start a clinical trials program at Hackensack Meridian Palisades Medical Center.

Dr. Huang is a member of professional organizations such as the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
