Dr. Alfin "Didi" Vicencio is the Northern Regional Chair of Pediatrics at Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health. With over 20 years of experience in pediatric pulmonology and 16 years in leadership, he is board-certified in pediatric pulmonology. He specializes in treating a variety of conditions, including complex lung and airway issues.
In addition to asthma, Dr. Vicencio is an expert in pediatric advanced diagnostic and interventional bronchoscopy, considered a pioneer in this evolving discipline. A passionate educator and advocate, he played a key role in establishing the first hands-on educational courses that introduced these techniques to pediatric pulmonologists worldwide.
In 2024, he co-founded the pediatric chapter of the American Association of Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology. Dr. Vicencio has published on a variety of topics, including asthma, flexible bronchoscopy, wheezing, tracheobronchomalacia, bronchiolitis, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
